Check Out The Winner Of This Week's 'Your Look'
This week on our Facebook page, Sophie Keegan got the most ‘likes’ for her outfit in YOUR LOOK. We agree she looks amazing and she made the dress herself – wow! The Dennis Basso faux-fur coat may be a little warm to wear now, but we love the look with the ASOS pendant.
Sophie, 23, says: “When I finished fashion design at uni, jobs were really hard to find, so I started making dresses for friends. Then someone suggested I put it on Facebook and the response was amazing! I am now self-employed with Pretty Little Poppet and I’ve made hundreds of dresses. The best thing is bumping into strangers wearing my designs! At the moment I am loving the '70s trend, vintage-style florals, and kimonos are my summer must-have cover-up. Topshop is my favourite shop and LOOK is my absolute style bible – I can't wait till Tuesday every week!” Aw, thanks Sophie!

It may be edging into winter in Australia, but with Memorial Day just around the corner in the U.S., Nicky Zimmermann figured the time was right to open up shop in Los Angeles. “We are always trying to get that feeling of the memory of an idyllic summer’s day, and how that made you feel. Summer is very much our season,” the designer of the eponymous swimwear collection told Style.com from her home base in Sydney’s Tamarama, right off of Bondi Beach. She may be far from California, but the West Coast, she said, always makes her feel right at home. “Every time I’m in L.A., I’m very comfortable there. It’ s very much like Sydney. The line is different from what’s already available there, but it definitely still fits in,” she said of the airy Robertson Boulevard boutique.
Editors, actors, and models alike took a night off from gala season last night, exchanging ball gowns for cocktail dresses, to celebrate the opening of Hugo Boss’ new Hugo store on Greene Street and honor the Young Collectors Council of the Guggenheim Museum. That famous edifice was reproduced in miniature, crafted entirely out of Legos—and while there were plenty of clothes on the racks, it was the mini museum that caught Chloë Sevigny’s eye. “I don’t think [they’re] for sale but I really want one of those Legos,” she said, wearing a sleek, black and white Hugo Boss number. “I actually slept over in the Guggenheim once for an art exhibit—that was pretty cool,” she added.
