A Collection of Essential Beauty by Designer Jamil Khansa at Couture Fashion Week New York

Prominent Lebanese-American designer Jamil Khansa will present his latest opulent collection at Couture Fashion Week New York. The fashion show at the prestigious event will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday February 19, 2011 in the iconic Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria on Park Avenue, New York City. Like so many great Middle Eastern designers, Jamil Khansa studied fashion design in Beirut  He went on to hone his expertise in Los Angeles starting in 1994, where his style developed to suit his discerning clientele's exquisite tastes. Mr. Khansa's fashion talent goes beyond a passion for fabric or color; his designs are a statement of femininity, elegance, charm, and the embodiment of a woman’s constant quest to be unique and personalize her presence. Mr. Khansa has shaped his vision of fashion by taming nature’s diversity and customizing it in a classic original silhouette to fit every woman’s perception of beauty.

As a young designer, Mr. Khansa was invited to be the first Lebanese designer to show at Couture Fashion Week New York where he presented his Fall/Winter 2005-2006 collection to rave reviews. That year he was honored by the event as the  “Fashion Designer of the Year” for his collection.
