A total of 50 influential fashion houses from the US, UK, Germany,
Morocco and South Africa are expected to showcase at the ARISE Fashion Week (AFW) 2018.
The event, which is set to hold from March 30 to April 2, 2018 at the
Lagos Continental Hotel, Lagos, will showcase some of the best fashion
designers from around the world.
Top designers expected to participate include Laquan Smith, Ozwald
Boateng, Tinie Tempah, Aurora James, Gavin Rajah, Rich Mnisi, KLuK CDGT,
Thebe Magugu and Maxhosa by Laduma from South Africa.
Others who have signed up for the Easter fashion extravaganza include
designers from Canada, Botswana, Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and Tanzania.
ARISE Fashion Week helped to put Nigeria firmly on the global fashion
map, showcasing and promoting African designers on the runways of the
world, from London’s famous Royal Albert Hall, to Washington DC’s
powerful J.F. Kennedy Center, to the legendary triple appearance during
the iconic New York Fashion Week (NYFW), to vivacious Lagos and Abuja,
to magnetic Johannesburg and Cape Town, and to fabulous Paris.

FashionGHANA launches Accra Fashion Week which is set to be a festive
season where African fashioneers, pioneers and creatives can congregate
to develop fashion on the continent.
With the various fashion weeks across Africa and a growing thirst for African fashion creativity across the world, Accra Fashion Week aims to fill the void which sees tremendous creativity and culture across the continent with the absence of an operating fashion infrastructure.
Accra Fashion Week will be operating to level a platform for African designers that which can be compared to fashion weeks across the major capitals. Ghana has held the flag for most of what many class as African fashion and will act as the main melting pot for Fashion business in Africa.
